Message from the Chair, Board of Directors “Ending Hunger, Nourishing Hope,” the mission of Feeding America Tampa Bay,expresses a vision the food bank’s Board of Directors offers to the Tampa Bay community. Hunger free initiatives across the nation are taking root in small towns and counties as well as in major metropolitan areas. Led by elected officials or volunteers,these initiatives are formed around the core belief that to end hunger at the community level, a broad range of community stakeholders must unite behind a common vision and strategy.

The Tampa Bay Rays’ 2012 season may be over but a legacy of the team’s performance will positively impact Tampa Bay communities. The Mosaic Company has donated $89,500 to Feeding America Tampa Bay as an outgrowth of its Home Runs for Food partnership with the Tampa Bay Rays. Mosaic contributed $500 to the food bank for every hit by the Rays during their regular season games to help feed hungry families in their regions.
Thanks to The Mosaic Company and the Tampa Bay Rays for their endless dedication and support to ending hunger, nourishing hope in West Central Florida.

Tampa-area residents can “drive the drive” as the Southern Ford Dealers and Feeding America Tampa Bay are partnering to launch the Southern Ford Dealers’ yearlong Driving Hunger Relief program. Beginning tomorrow and running through September 10, residents can take part in a variety of activities to raise up to 100,000 meals for Feeding America in the Southern Ford Dealer communities.
